Respect
A professional displays esteem for their patients; for other professionals and also for themselves
Client Autonomy and Self-Determination
The patient has the freedom to decide about their Tx and has the right to be given sufficient information in order to make that decision (Informed Choice)
Veracity
The patient has the right to be made aware of any facts that will aid them in making an informed choice
Proportionality
The benefit(s) of the Tx must outweigh any burdens of obtaining or receiving the Tx
Nonmaleficence
The MT will do no harm as well as preventing harm from happening to the patient
Beneficence
any Tx is strictly for the patient’s well-being
Confidentiality
All patient information is to be kept confidential unless its release was authorized by patient
Justice
All patients are to be treated fairly
