What does informed consent mean?
Asking them consent before taking part in the experiment. (i.e) having the right to use them in the experiment.
What does debrief mean?
After the research is over, participants should be told the purpose of the research and their part explained.
What does confidentiality/privacy mean?
Refer to a person’s right to control the flow of information about themselves.
What does decepetion mean?
When a participant is not told the true research aims of a study.
What does right to withdraw mean?
When participants are allowed to stop participating if for whatever reason they feel uncomfortable.
What does protection from harm mean?
Participants should not experience negative physical side effects as well as negative psychological side effects.
