Explain Stage 3.
Initiative versus guilt (3-5yrs of age): When the child gains Greater mobility, Inquisitiveness, and Growth in language and imagination.
Establish a sense of initiative and Learn to PLAN and carry out action.
Danger - inhibited by guilt if plans are unappreciated or rejected - may develop anxiety.

Identity vs identity confusion
Between 11-18 years of age - and later?
As childhood ends, adolescents enter the stage known as identity versus identity confusion, in which they integrate their past experiences into a new whole.
The important relationships: Peers
Difficulty envisioning an occupational role / meaningful role in society.
What are the dangers of Stage 3?
Guilt and the development of anxiety.
What are the dangers of Stage 5?
Identity or role confusion
