Ergonomics Flashcards
Neutral posture
Thé joint is being used near the middle of its full range of motion
Supine position
Maxillary treatments - dental chair parallel to floor
Semi-supine position
Mandibular treatment - chair is slightly upright (15-20 degrees)
Chin up position
Maxillary treatment (head and chin same level)
Chin down position
Mandibular treatment (chin is lower than nose level)

Fingers due to injury of extensor muscles, extending fingers away from each-other
Carpal tunnel
Wrist and hand, compression of median nerve within carpal tunnel of wrist, repeatedly bending wrist, pinching, gripping w no rest
Ulnar nerve impairment
