What is the NFPA 704 Diamond
–diamond-shaped placard that is divided into four sections
–Each of the four sections is colored differently (blue, red, yellow, and white)
–used to indicate different types of hazards
–Numbered 0-4 with 4 being most severe
NFPA 704 Diamond Colors
Blue = Health
Red = Flammability
Yellow = Instability/Reactivity
White = Special Hazard–uses a word or pictograph
