ICZM integrated coastal zone management
A
Developed = 1992- idea that the entire coastal zone is managed recognising the importance of ppls livelihoods in these zones
Recognises that coastal management must be sustainable
Each sediment cell can be managed as a whole holistic unit
Shoreline management plan SMP are then used within specific areas of each cell 2 ensure local agreement + adaptation to local needs
