A measure of sustainable wellbeing, ranking countries by how efficiently they deliver long, happy lives.
This is done by multiplying life satisfaction and life expectancy and dividing that by ecological footprint
What is the freedom index?
Is a composite measure of personal,civil and economic freedoms in different countries.
What are the differences in traditional and contemporary measures of development
The difference between traditional and contemporary measures of development is that traditional methods use real data to determine the development like gdp whereas contemporary measures are based of perception such as the happy planet index

The Muslim world does not see fit that a country has respect for universal human rights.
The sharia law is not just laws on religion but laws on inheritance,marriage,criminal punishments
Some countries have embedded sharia law into their constitutions, for example, Iraq has included the clause ‘no law can be passed that contradicts the undisputed laws of Islam.
However some Muslims believe it’s not rigid but actually flexible and fully compatible with human rights

Linked to diet,lifestyle,relative deprivation and acces to medical care
There is a positive correlation between spending on health care,linked to the wealth of a country and life expectancy
What is the difference between life expectancy of gender of people from the Uk ?
The difference between the genders life expectancy is small
It’s more likely they reflect in affluence and lifestyles
What is the difference between life expectancy of socio economic groups of people from the Uk ?
The difference is pretty big as people being more skilled than unskilled people this partly because of housing and lifestyle but attitudes towards health and diet will also play a part.
What is the difference between life expectancy of different ethnic groups of people from the Uk ?
No real correlation.
Might be to do with inherited genes and other factors such as lifestyle and housing.
