EPPP assessment Flashcards
Common measures of ASD
Social Responsiveness Scale; Social Communication Questionnaire
CHC theory describes what? How many levels and what are they?
CHC is a theory of intelligence that has three stratum’s. This theory does include a G factor of intelligence.
There are 8 broad abilities: fluid intel-
ligence, crystallized intelligence, general memory and learning, visual perception,
auditory perception, retrieval capacity, cognitive speediness, and processing speed
CHC theory often infludes which 9 abilities
Crystallized
Intelligence (Gc), Fluid Intelligence (Gf), Quantitative Reasoning (Gq), Reading and
Writing Ability (Grw), Short-Term Memory (Gsm), Long-Term Storage and Retrieval
(Glr), Visual Processing (Gv), Auditory Processing (Ga), and Processing Speed (Gs)
Stanford Binet - Age range? What scales does it provide?
Ages 2-85 Full Scale IQ, Fluid Reasoning Knowledge Quantitative reasoning Visual spatial processing Working memory
What is the Flynn Effect
The observation that IQ scores are increasing over time.
WPPSI ages? and what scales?
Generally 2.5-7.5ish (abbreviated for younger kids) Scales: FSIQ 1. Verbal 2. Performance IQ 3. Processing speed (for 5-7) 4. General language Composite
WPPSI subtests?
- Block Design
- Information (for pictures)
- Matrix Reasoning
- Bug Search
- Picture memory
- Similarities
- Picture concepts
8 Cancellation - Zoo locations
- Object Assembly
- Vocabulary
- Animal coding
13 Comprenehsion - Receptive Vocabulary
- Picture Naming
WISC ages and scales?
6-16 FSIQ 1. VCI (Verbal comp) 2. VSI (visual spatial) 3. Fluid reasoning 4. Working memory 5. Processing speed
The wisc also has some additional special scales for clinical puproses Nverbal index (NVI), General ability index (GAI, and cognitive processing index (CPI; all use same subtests as above). Extra subtests can be administered to aso get Auditory working memory index (AWMI) and quantitiatve reasoning index (QRI)

WAIS-4 ages and scales
Ages 16-90 FSIQ or GAI (which is VCI and PRI only) Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI) Perceptual Reasoning Index (PRI) Working Memory Index (WMI) Processing Speed Index (PSI)
Wais 4 subtests
VCI - Similarities, Vocabulary, Information, Comprehension
Perceptual Reasoning- Block Design, Matrix Reasoning, Visual Puzzles, Picture Completion, Figure Weights
Working Memory - Digit Span, Arithmetic, Letter number sequencing
Processing Speed - Symbol Search, Coding, Cancellation
Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (ages, theory, and scales)
Ages 3-18; Based on CHC theory and Luria’s model, gives 5 scales: Simultaneous, Sequential, Planning, Learning, and Knowledge
Woodcock-johnson-III
Best match to CHC theory so many subscales; ages 2-90
Leiter international Performance
and
Universal Nonverbal Test. What are they used for?
These tests are nonverbal and therefore better when someone is not an english speaker or if lower functioning language.
Skew toward younger ages
What is the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychology test Battery
For neuropsych injury! Ideally to estimate location of a lesion.
A very long battery
It has several components that include: The WAIS Aphasia screening test, Halstead Category Test (abstract learning ability), Tactual Performance Test, Speech-Sounds Perception Test, Seashore Rhythm Test, the Finger Tapping Test (fine motor), and the Trail Making Test Lateral Dominance Exam.
