Ekbom syndrome
delusion that one is infected with parasites
Cotard syndrome
nihilistic delusion that one is dead, doesn’t exist or has lost all ones possessions
Rett syndrome
Neuro-developmental disorder, 1-2 years, generally just girls Features: - screaming attacks - avoidance of eye contact - poor social interactions - loss of fine motor skills - ataxia
De Clerambault syndrome
Delusion that someone of a higher status is in love with them
Ganser’s syndrome
Factitious disorder where people give approximate answers to simple questions that show they understand the theme of the question
Munchausens syndrome
Factitious disorder in which people feign illness or self-inflict pathology for the purpose of seeking medical attention
Muchausen by proxy
A different person is used to seek medical attention (ie saying a child has been repeatedly fitting)
Fregoli syndrome
Delusion that a persecutor is able to change into many forms and disguise themselves to look like different people
Othello syndrome
Delusion that one’s partner is being unfaithful
Capgras syndrome
Delusion that a close acquaintance has been replaced by an identical double
Folie a deux
When a delusion is shared with another person (trois…plusieurs..)
