Environmental Flashcards
What does the illumination of the R ENVIR FAIL annunciator indicate?
That there is a over-pressure or over-temperature condition in the right environmental system.
In the event of a total electrical failure to what position will the environmental and instrument bleed air valves fail to?
Both closed.
How can the pilot achieve maximum airflow to the cockpit?
By pulling all four air inlet knobs to the fully open position.
If in heating mode to what should the air knobs and eyeball outlets be set to if the cabin is comfortable but the cockpit is too hot?
The knobs should be closed (fully in) and the eyeball outlets open.
If in cooling mode to what should the air knobs and eyeball outlets be set to if the cabin is comfortable but the cockpit is too hot?
The PILOT and COPILOT AIR knobs should be fully open and eyeball outlets fully open as well.
Which warning lights will illuminate when the cabin mode selector switch is selected to T TEST?
L/R ENVIR FAIL lights.
What is being tested when the cabin mode selector switch is set to the T TEST position?
The overpressure protection of the environmental system is tested.
What is the P3 environmental bleed air used for?
Aircraft pressurization.
Which light will illuminate when the EVA tubing ruptures?
L/R BLEED AIR FAIL lights will illuminate.
What is the normal environmental system pressure?
38 psi
What is the source of air for the vapour cycle system?
Cabin Air
