Relationship Management Processes: Support and resell customers, win back high value customers so they keep buying.
What is ERP Resource Planning (ERP)?
Suite of applications to consolidate business operations into a single computing platform, mainly to integrate for real time updates. This gets higher accuracy of data to eliminate redundancy.
What are Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
Companies that can’t use ERP use EAI to avoid information silos. They connect system islands with new software. Enable applications to communicate and share data. Leverages existing data and adds integration on top. Enables gradual move to ERP.

PaaS: Platform as a service
SaaS: Software as a Service
What is IaaS?
Infrastructure as a service: Customers use processing, storage, networking, and other resources from cloud service providers
What is PaaS?
Platform as a Service: Replace an organization’s existing hardware infrastructure with hardware in the cloud. Install ERP SW and DBs on the cloud hardware. The firm then manages the ERP software on the cloud hardware.
What is SaaS?
Software as a Service: Acquire a cloud-based ERP solution. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and other vendors offer their ERP software as a service. The vendor manages the ERP software and offers it to customer as a service.
What are the components of ERP Solutions?
Hardware, application programs, database, business processes and procedures, automated controls, workflows, and approvals, training and consulting.
What are Industry specific Solutions?
ERP vendors offer starter kits for specific industries that are custom with process blueprints.
