Common areas for tophi
Blue when perp, yellow when parallel
Forearm, ear, achilles
Lead toxicity
RBC basophilic stippling (thalassemia, sideroblastic anemia, alcohol abuse)
Erythroplakia
Pre-malignant/malignant oral lelsion, but red
Kernig’s sign
Mucormycosis
Thigh to 90 with pain (meningitis)
Fever, facial pain, CN palsies, necrotic lesions (nasal mucosa and palate)
OE
Symptoms
Complication
Skin infection of ear canal (swimming, local trauma)
Ear pain and discharge, tragus/pinna signs
Malignant OE in IC/poorly controlled diabetic (P aeru, S aureus)
