Engine Wash And Emergency Procedures Flashcards

1
Q

Engine Wash Limitations

A
  • TGT below 80° C (151° C if ENG OVSPD CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE PULLED)
  • Minimum NG 24% prior to inducing water
  • Minimum NG while washing 16% (7,000 RPM) to prevent damage to compressor blades
  • Rinse #2 engine for 65 seconds, #1 for 60 seconds
  • Dry engines for 5 minutes, secure anti ice and dry for 1 additional minute
  • Do not rinse engine if below -15° C (5°F), solution will freeze
