ENGINE START PROCEDURE
A
FO-START SWITCH TO GROUND
- Hand on thrust lever until 20% N1 (should have N1 and OIL PRESSURE INCREASING)
- N1 rotation seen and N2 at 25% (max motoring 1% 5 secs/ min 20%)
- START LEVER IDLE (start a clock 10 secs EGT, 2nd Start leave clock running 3.30/5.30)
- Check ENG VALVE and SPAR VALVE
- ENG DISPLAY N1 3-4%
- FUEL FLOW

- 56% N2 start switch to AUTO “STARTER CUTOUT”
- STABLE IDLE
- Stable idle is when EGT start REDLINE disappears

ABORTED ENGINE START PARAMETERS
A
Do the “Aborted Engine Start” NNC for any of the following
- No or Slow N1 or N2 after EGT increase (HUNG)
- No OIL pressure by stable IDLE
- No EGT within 15 secs of start lever to idle (WET)
- EGT nears or exceeds start limit (HOT)
