Used to express facts, conditions, or situations that existed in the past.
Simple Past Tense
Used o express facts, repeated actions, present events or conditions, and future plans. It is either base form only, or with -s or -es to agree with the subject
Simple Present Tense
Describes action, situations, or events that will be completed in the future. It is formed by combining will or shall with the base form of the verb
Simple Future Tense
States an action that happened before another action (2 actions). It is the word had before the past participle.
Past Perfect Tense
Action that started in the past and is continuing to the present. It is the word has or have and the past participle
Present Perfect Tense
Used to indicate an action that will have been completed at a definite time in the future. It is formed by will + have + past participle.
Future Perfect Tense
The proliferation of ideas, beliefs, and information to influence other’s choices, and beliefs
Propaganda Techniques
Encourages people to be part of a certain group, following the trend or fad
Bandwagon
Uses terms such as great, best, and freedom to evoke positive feeling.
Glittering Generalities
Propaganda technique that links a person or product to a negative image or unpleasant label
Name Calling
– Method in which ordinary people are used to advertise a product or promote a candidate
Plain Folk
Uses well-known celebrities to endorse a product or a person
Testimonial
Influencing people by showing what the world would be when you choose the person or product being endorsed.
Building a mental image or Transfer
Statement that can be verified or proven as true or false
Fact
Reflects a person’s beliefs, values, views, and perceptions. One may agree or disagree to another opinion
