What are the advantages of HEP power?

A

HEP is renewable and reliable (as they can sometimes control the amount of electricity generated by controlling the amount of water flowing inside it.
However, installing these HEP dams and reservoirs can damage the wildlife and the natural habitats. They are also hard to maintain, and the generate as much energy as they use up.
