Q

What’s the role of atp as an energy transfer compound in cells?

A

Atp stores energy from glucose, and when it’s needed for life processes it under goes hydrolysis and is released for biochemical reactions in cells

Q

What is the difference between anaerobic and aerobic respiration?

A

Aerobic respiration requires oxygen and glucose molecules that get broken down to produce CO2, H2O and ATP, and anaerobic is when there is not enough oxygen supplied to the muscles so it converts pyruvate into lactic acid
