What is Sound energy and examples

A

Anything that gives of sound. Examples: TV

17
Q

State the law of conservation of energy

A

The law of conservation of energy states that energy doesn’t get destroyed or used up, it is just transferred ( changed) into another form.

18

State the energy transfer of stores in the following example

1- Coal
2- Fire
3- Train

A

1- Chemical
2- Thermal
3- Kinetic

19

1- Battery
2- Wire
3- Lamp

A

1- Chemical
2- Electrical
3- Light

1- Sun
2- Plant
3- Human

A

1- Nuclear
2- Chemical
3- Kinetic

21
Q

State what happens after in the following scenario

1- Unburnt fuel
2- More oxygen
3- Cold soup
4- More chemical energy
5- Less thermal energy

A

1- Less fuel
2- More carbon dioxide and water
3- Hot soup
4- Less chemical energy
5- More thermal energy

22
Q

Explain why energy saving light bulbs are better

A

Energy saving light bulbs are better because they need less fuel to produce the same amount of light so it saves you money. It also doesn’t waste as much energy as normal light bulbs so they are better for the enviroment

23
Q
  1. Can energy be used up or destroyed? What is the scientific word related to this?
A

Energy can not be used up. It is transferred. This is called conservation of energy

24
Q
  1. What type of energy do devises produce as waste. Why is this bad?
A

Heat energy is usually the waste store of energy and it’s bad because it wastes money.

25
Q
  1. Where do we find chemical energy?
A

Foods.fuels and batteries

26
Q

the bowling ball was raised up to the height of the persons face, the ball was released with no added push from the person, then it returned. Explain in detail what happened using terms from energy store

A

The ball was raised up to the height of the person’s face, which gave it gravitational energy.

When the ball was released, it fell so it gained kinetic energy.

Then it returned, it did not gain any energy so ut returned to the same height of the person’s face.

27
Q

What are the main energy transfers in a car engine

A

Chemical –> 1- Thermal
2-Kinetic
3- Sound

28
Q

What energy stores are generally wasted

A

Heat is usually wasted

29
Q

What does an energy transfer diagram show?

A

It shows us the input and output of transfer of energy stores

30
Q

Are you going to work hard today

A

yes :)
