End of Topic MECHANICS Test Flashcards
Examiners don’t like it when you label GRAVITY… What should you say instead?
WEIGHT
How should one describe why one object is more affected by a force, eg. Air resistance?
That force, eg. Air resistance is GREATER on that object.
How should one explain an answer, eg. ‘What can you say about…” “Explain your answer…”
One should ALWAYS use the EQUATION to form your answer, because the answer is always in your EQUATION.
When describing how something is affected by air resistance, what should one always remember to say if necessary?
One should always remember to mention to describe the extent of the force acting on it AT ANY GIVEN SPEED
What is the term for when something remains stationary mid air…
Resultant force =0
When calculating F = MA, what is an important thing to remember?
ALWAYS CALCULATE THE RESULTANT FORCE, eg 1850N flying up 840N of the weight of the object = 1010 as the resultant force!
