It was a huge propoganda victory because 65 other countries also boycotted and the soviets only used the olympics to promote and advertise communism

- soviets living standard and food production was poor and a lack of human rights

- it was so significant because it signified that the soviet union was falling just like the wall

The year of miracles because all of eastern europe broke free of soviet control which was huge because they wanted freedom for years and they didnt even get stopped from independence
