Who did Nero blame the fire on and what action did he use against them?
He blamed it on Christians (or scapegoat them). He gave orders to round Christians up and put them to death.
What did citizens think of this?
Most of the citizens knew that Christians were not guilty, but didn’t really care that’s Christians were being persecuted, and they often watched their persecution as a form of entertainment.
