Shyness, surprise, embarrassment, shame, guilt & pride, children often experience basic emotions and then realize they can feel multiple and once - they also start identifying different emotions and how to respond.

Emotional development allows for the ability to become more equipped at expressing emotions appropriately - the more emotionally developed the better expression of feeling.

Ability to deal with adverse/negative events throughout life
