-Secure in Bracket, Ring pin intact, Arrow in green section of pressure gauge.
Operation
- Remove from backet.
- P - Pull the pin
- A - Aim at base of the fire
- S - Squeeze the lever
- S - Sweep the flames
1.5m-2m Range
8-10 second duration
PBE should be worn

What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the Adult Lifejacket?
Pre-Flight
-Present and correct number of spares
Operation
- Remove from pouch
- Place over head, pass harness around waist and fasten.
- To tighten pull strap.
- To inflate pull red toggle.
(If no inflate, or too inflated) - use tubes on side.
Location
- At each passenger seat
- FWD RHS O/Head Locker
- AFT RHS O/Head Locker

What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the Infant Lifejackets?
Pre-flight
- Present and correct number
Operation
- Same as adult lifejacket, put infant arms through armholes and secure straps.

- Tether Strap, and no whistle
What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the Megaphone?

-Secured & Present
Operation
- Squeeze handle which will flex, speak loud and clear.
- Adjust volume knob as required, carry via the neck strap.
- For siren pull out pin (handle must be released to sound), replace pin to cancel siren.

What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the PBE?
Pre-flight
- Tamper Seal is intact
- Humidity indicator in Blue (Pink U/S)
- Secured in Location
Operation
- Pull tear off strip, unravel and hold by handles, pull apart to activate generators
- Listen for flow of oxygen, then don and adjust neck seal
- After operation/ end of service indicator remove and dispose as DG
Duration - 15mins (Oxygen flows for 8-10mins)

What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the Portable Oxygen Cylinder?
Pre-flight
- Secured, Pressure gauge on green line, oxygen mask attached.
Operation
- Remove from backet, and remove mask from bag.
- Attach mask and turn on cylinder fully till the 4 is clearly displayed.
- Fit oxygen mask.
- After use, remove mask, turn off oxygen and restow.

What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the Flight Deck Fixed Oxygen?
Pre-Flight
- Hold press to test and reset, while simultaneously pressing emergency press to test on mask and hear for oxy flow over speaker.
- Check Oxygen bottle pressure sufficient on EICAS.
What are the pre-flight requirements, and operation of the PLB/ELT?
Pre-Flight
- Present, secure in location at S16 Stowage
Operation
- Pull out the antenna and extend it
- Press the ON/OFF button, or pull the lanyard to activate beacon
(A beep indicates that the PLB is on, and Beacon LED will flash)
A green GPS LED flash indicates Satellite Data.
How are the Day/Night Flares operated?
Operation
- Day side - Smooth Side - produces orange smoke
- Night side - Rough Side - Produces red sparks.
-Unscrew cap on applicable side
- Point flare downwind and away from face/body
-Pull the ring pull, and hold at 45 degree angle.
How to operate the Heliograph?
Operation
- Place the lanyard over head and spot the reflected bright light close by then adjust to target
How do you use the Sea Marker Dye?

- Use only in daylight conditions

After inflation of the life raft where is the survival pack located?
In a bag attached to the raft, may be floating in water
How is the door armed?
Remove Safety Pin, Move the arming lever down to the ARMED position, stow the safety pin in the recess.
How is the door DISARMED?
Raise arming lever up to the DISARM’d position, and insert safety pin. Ensure Cabin pressure is not lit, and the girt bar indication is GREEN before opening.
What is the short code for an emergency call to the flight deck?

What is the FIRST step to disconnect a slide from the aircraft?
Lift the girt bar flap and pull the disconnection handle.
What is the FINAL step to disconnect a slide from the aircraft?
Disconnect the morning line
