What would you do if a door opened after take-off, in cruise, and while landing?

A

Take off: if runway is available, land immediately.

Cruise: slow to 90kts, open storm window, close cabin window and lock the door.

Landing: land.

What would you do if a propeller oversped on take off? Cruise? Landing?

What would you do if both propellers oversped?

A

Oversped propellers cannot be feathered. Do not shutdown the engines unless absolutely necessary.

Set idle power, slow to 90 knots, reduce rpm, increase throttle until governor engages then set rpm as required.

If on take off, land

If in cruise, execute propeller overspeed checklist, 7700, vectors to final.

If landing, 1000 feet above field elevation. Gear up, flaps up, cowl flaps as required, slow to 92 knots,
