EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHTS Switch
- 3 position -
OFF
ARMED
ON
With the emergency exit lights in the armed position, what would cause the emergency lights to come on automatically? (1sp)
[1sp - comes on automatically if we lose DC Bus 1 (practical note - remember that before you turn off the battery switch, that the EEL switch is OFF. Because once you turn off the Batt switch you will lose DC Bus 1 and all the lights will go on.)]
OFF:
- prevents automatic emergency lights activation or turns them OFF if they are on
ARMED: (guarded)
- emergency lights come on when
- DC Bus 1 loses power (<12 v)
- AC power is turned OFF
- aft FA Panel switch is positioned ON
ON:
- all emergency lights illuminate
* when lights come on (when not being charged) they will last about 15-20 min)
NOT ARMED Light
Illuminated (Amber): EMER EXIT LIGHTS switch not in ARMED position (turns on MC & OVERHEAD caution lt)
NO SMOKING Switch
OFF:
- no smoking signs are NOT lit
AUTO:
- illuminate when GEAR is EXTENDED and extinguish when GEAR is RETRACTED
ON: lights are ON
FASTEN BELTS Switch
- Fasten belts signs are also illuminated with ‘Return to Seat’ (lav’s)
OFF: lights are OFF
AUTO:
- illuminate: FLAPS OR GEAR are extended
- Extinguish: FLAPS AND GEAR are retracted
ON: Lights are ON
GND CREW CALL HORN
- activates ground crew horn in the nose wheel well manually
Gnd Crew Horn Activation:
- ADIRS cooling not sufficient (equip cooling is OFF because there is no AC power)
- ADIRU’s are powered by battery [ON DC] light
- Battery is discharging
CABIN READY Light
- ** this is different in FCOM vs paper tiger
- our airplane shows configured with ATTEND button and CALL light
L/R WIPER Selector
PARK: turns OFF wipers and STOWS the blades (out of view).
INT: 7 second intermittant operation
LOW / HIGH: Low and high speed operation
dont operate on dry windshield. Separate controls so single switch failure does not disable entire system
COMPASS LIGHT Switch
OFF/BRT/DIM: turns off light or sets to BRT or Dim
