CABIN ALTIMETER / DIFF PRESS Indicator

Answer 1

Outer Scale:

• differential press - between cabin and ambient (psi)
• NEEDLE MOVEMENT:
  
  • 0 on needle = no differential pressure (bad if in flight)
  • Counter Clockwise Movement = cabin is leaking

Inner Scale:

• indicates Cabin Alt (in feet)

Notes.

• connected to the ALTERNATE STATIC system

CABIN RATE OF CLIMB Indicator

Answer 2

• indicates rate of climb or descent in fpm
• detects pressure changes from port on BACK of indicator
• flushing the toilet can cause indicator to momentarily show a spike in rate of climb

ALT HORN CUTOUT Button

Answer 3

• PUSH -
  
  • cuts out intermittant cabin altitude warning horn
  • horn sounds when cabin altitude reaches 10,000 feet
• same horn as the Takeoff Warning
