Hoist Stoppage

A
  1. Cease operating hoist/inform pilot
  2. Check utility hydraulic pressure
  3. Inspect hoist for possible jam
  4. If no jam, carry out inoperative hoist procedure
  5. If jammed/suspected jam, carry out jammed hoist procedure

  2. Attempt to use one of the following alternate hoist controls:
    a. Portable hoist control
    b. Cabin wall rescue switch

Select the hoist control device to either UP or DOWN position to arrest descent

  1. Inform pilot
  2. attempt to stop the free fall by selecting normal RAISE and if necessary AUXILIARY RAISE

Runaway gun

  1. Inform pilot and keep barrel pointed down range
  2. Twist belt at the point of entry into the feed tray, breaking it or causing a jam
  3. If gun fails to stop, continue pointing down range until all ammunition is expended

OFF TUNE the Radar

A

TX/RX TEST SEL: 9 px rotary switch with meter to monitor circuits
All should read midscale except RCVR VID (at or near full deflection)
On/off tune controls (invokes Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) circuit to OFFTUNE radar by press TEST switch
Should read 10 µAmps more
