A
  • Hydraulic: Less than or equal to 7 stories

- Electric: Operates w/ cables, traction sheave

Emergency vs. Incident

A
  • Emergency: Person is ill/injured, person is in panic, fire is endangering the elevator
  • Incident: Elevator malfunction w/ no life threat present

- Positions: On, Off, Bypass (systems back into normal operating mode without reset)

- Positions: On (need to hold buttons), Off, Hold (keeps car on floor you exit onto)
