When should you never trust the function of an elevator?
When there is water running down the hoistway.
How do you close the doors when in fire service mode?
You just push the button until the door opens/closes all the way. It will not do it on its own as in normal operation.
How do you return an elevator to normal operation after having been in fire service mode?
In the car, turn key to off position and remove
In the lobby turn key to bypass until doors close, turn key to off position, wait 3 seconds and remove the key.
