Q

4 properties of series circuit

A
  1. One path for current to flow through
  2. Same current flows through every component
  3. Circuit open at any point, no current would flow
  4. *Total voltage across the source is equal to the sum of all the voltages across each component
(think of it as a voltage divider)

Q

4 properties of a parallel circuit

A
  1. More than 1 path for current to flow through
  2. Sum of the current through each path is equal to the total current that flows through the source
  3. If one path is open, current will still flow in all other paths
  4. *Voltage is the same across the separate branches (across the same 2 points)
