Eldest son is responsible for taking care of their elderly parents.

Euthanasia
Inducing a painless death, by agreement and with compassion, to ease suffering. From the Greek meaning good death
Voluntary euthanasia
Asks a doctor to end their life
Non-voluntary euthanasia
Too ill to ask to die but it is believed to be in their best interest
Involuntary euthanasia
As happens in maxi Germany. Disabled and sick people were killed without consultation
Passive euthanasia
No life extending or could be large dose of painkiller that will also speed up death
Eg: feeding tube out
Is passive euthanasia really death?
‘Thou shalt not kill but needst not strive, officiously, to keep alive’
Letting someone to die
Yes because they could be alive if we did something about it
Active euthanasia
Withholding treatment with the deliberate intention of ending life or giving a drug that will end life.

Suffering must be accepted as it the result of some bad karma in your last life.

A machine that keeps people alive when they would otherwise die.

‘All life is sacred’ - should save it if we can.

Ahimsa means not allowed as is violent (could really be used either way round)

A period of time which signs of grief are shown

A special place to which people go to die with dignity
