Valgus Stress Test
elbow flexed at 10-25 degrees
UCL sprain,
Varus Stress Test
elbow flexed to 25 degrees
RCL sprain
dammage to annular ligament
Moving Valgus Stress test
move elbow from flexion to extension, maintaining valgus force on elbow, shoulder abducted to 90
partial tear or attenuation of UCL
Pivot Shift test
shoulder and elbow flex to 90, forearm supinated
apply axial load, take into flexion and extension
subluxation and relocation - chronic instability
Tennis Elbow test / Little leagers
lateral epicondylitis
Tinel’s sign
tapping on ulnar nerve/radial nerve to look for reproduction signs and symptoms
Radiohumeral joint play (glide)
elbow should be extended and forearm supinated
(+): hypo/hyper-mobility
Gravity stress test
position pt as for apprehension of shoulder - see if gravity causes medial joint to open up compared to bilateral side
