Cozen’s test
Elbow
Stabilize shoulder with one hand. Pte makes a fist, flexes elbow and extends wirst. Examiner places other hand on top of pte’s fist and pull. Pte resists.

Similar to Cozen’s test, except pte extends elbow and extends wrist. Examiner stabilizes shoulder with one hand, then grab fist with the other and tries to flex wrist (push fingers in). Pte resists.

Pte’s fingers are flexed, then tries to extend the finger at the MCP joint

Grab the pte’s elbow with one hand and then the wrist with the other, apply abduction and adduction force

Pte fully flex elbow in front of chest with wrist extension. Shoulder abduct and depress down. Hold for 3-5 mins

Pte flexes elbow at 90 degree, supinated. Examiner use one hand to stabilize elbow and the other to hand shake the pte’s hand. Examiner resists pte to pronate while extending the elbow.
