What is lateral epicondylitis?
A condition resulting from repetitive strain - often called tennis elbow.
How is lateral epicondylitis treated?
Rest - do not aggravate injury.
May need NSAIDs, steroid injections, or an elbow brace if troublesome.
Which form of epicondylitis is associated with pain on wrist extension/supination, when the elbow is extended?
Lateral epicondylitis
What is medial epicondylitis?
A condition resulting from the repetitive strain of the common flexor tendon.
It is less common than lateral epicondylitis.
Are steroid injections used in medial epicondylitis?
No, as proximity to ulnar nerve.
NSAIDs, physiotherapy and rest are still advisable in this condition.
