Q

What is the elbow joint capsule?

A
  • elbow and radioilnar shake joint capsule
  • strengthen medially and laterally by ligaments
  • weaker anterior and posterior
  • brachialis inserts anterior of the capsule to pull it out of joint space to prevent pinching when flexion occurs
  • triceps attaches posterior to prevents pinching in extension
