Present tense
Used to express an action or a state of being that is always true or that happens habitually (as a habit).
Past tense
Shows that an action occurred in the past.
Future tense
Shows that the action will occur at some time in the future.
(will)
Present perfect tense
Shows that the action is completed in the present time. The use of present perfect tense emphasizes the relevance of the action to the current time, right now. (have, has, had)
Future perfect tense
Shows that the action will be completed before a specific time in the future. ((will) have, has, had)
Active Voice
the subject in a sentence is doing the verbs action
Passive Voice
the subject is acted upon
Verb Mood
The attitude a verb conveys in a sentence
indicative
states a fact or gives a state of reality
imperative
a command
subjunctive
an imaginary situation, a wish, or something contrary to the fact
