Cognate
Sets of words that have been inherited in direct descent from an etymological ancestor in a common parent language
Derivative
Adjective: Limitative of the work of another person, and usually disapproved of for that reason.
Noun: Something that is based on another source
Diminutive
Extremely or unusually small, duckling to duck
Inflection
A change in the form of a word (typically the ending) to express a grammatical function or attribute such as tense, mood person number case and gender
The modulation of annotation or pitch in the voice
“She spoke slowly and without inflection”

Paradigm
A standard, perspective or set of ideas. A paradigm is a way of looking at something.
Orthography
The conventional spelling system of a language
