esparcir - esparciendo (scattering) (think its part of the circle .. picture yourself scattering lots of stuff in part of a big circle.)
also, dispersar - to scatter/to disperse - think disperse, dis - per - sar is the only syllable different

(think full of rays (rrah) going through ray ido - that shine through because it is so worn)
Also desgastada from desgastar or desgastarse- to wear out, to wear down

remendar (think re mend - just like it sounds - see mending it again, RE MEND AR)

estrechar - sounds like to stretch but it IS NOT, it is narrow
