Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)
Can’t see P wave
Valsalva
Tx: Adenosine first, BB, CCB, digoxin
Sinus *Bradycardia
Tx: Atropine
Sinus Arrhythmia
Irregular
NOT serious, breathing difficulty
1st Degree AV Block
PR interval is increased
2nd Degree AV Block
PR interval increases and then beat is dropped
3rd Degree AV Block
QRS not related to P wave
Atrial Flutter
“Saw tooth appearance”
SERIOUS
Ibutilide or Doxelitie
Atrial Fibrillation
Upside down
Tx: ANTICOAGULANT
Premature Ventricular Contractions
Do nothing
If feeling dicomfort, beta blocker
Ventricular Tachycardia
Stable: Synchronized cardioversion (shock) AND amiodarone
Unstable: SOB, chest pain, systolic under 90, confusion —> cardioversion (shock)
Ventricular Fibrillation*
All over the place EKG
**Defibrillate (unsynchronized cardioversion)
Epi, vasopressin, amiodarone, lidocaine
Premature Ventricular Contractions
See a dip in EKG every now and then
Do nothing
If feeling discomfort, beta blocker
Sinus Arrhythmia
