A

1) reassure patient
2) BSI
3) saline locking 500 hex tend
4) if no pulse after 30 minutes give another bag
5) loosen clothing boots
6) elevate legs unless contraindicated
7) prevent hypothermia blankets
Watch casualty 5-15 minutes

Treat penetrating chest wound

A

1) BSI
2) ss of chest wound
3) sucking or hissing when they inhale
4) difficulty breathing
5) puncture wound impaled wound froth or bubbles, pain in shoulder
6) do not remove clothing stuck in wound
7) cover open wound immediately
Check for e it wound?
8) make dressing with flutter valve which should let air escape when exhales
9) place casualty on injured side or sitting
10) check. VitL signs
Observe for shock

A

1) BSI
2) progressive respiratory distress
3) perform needle chest decompression
4) exes chest
5) insertion site
6) second intercostal space ( located between 2-3 ribs on ant chest wall at midclavicular line
7) 14 gauge 90 degree angle you may here a pop
8) place casualty in a sitting position on injured side
