Purpose of a cool down

A
  • allows the body to recover - stretching helps prevent the joints and muscles becoming sore and stiff.
  • Prevent DOMS - a cool down stops the delayed onset of muscles soreness felt after exercise.
  • Removes latic Acid / CO2 / waste products - Continuing gentle movement reduces the build up of latic acid.
