A
  • labour party
  • originally intended to only apply to failing schools. These would often be in cities, and were designed to help improve lower-income and ethnic minority student performance. Implementation of British Values

A
  • Ofsted Inspection Framework indicated that every lesson taught to students needs to incorporate British values into the teaching.
  • The most notable of this for minorities is the ‘tolerance of different cultures and religions’, and ‘mutual respect’.
  • The idea being is that younger generations of all ethnicities would simultaneously develop a sense of British identity which would create a sense of solidarity, while also celebrating diversity and multiculturalism
