Characteistics of eczema
Rough, inlammed, blisters, itchy, bleeding that is mostly localised to flexor surfaces and thin skin that is most common in atopic children
What are the different types of eczema
Atopic, discoid, asteatotic and pompholyx
Describe Atopic eczema
Localises to cheek, necks and flexors, erythematous, diffuse,vesicles and itchy
Describe discoid eczema
Coin shaped patterns, often confused with psoriasis
Describe Asteatotic eczema
Present on shins, dry, scaly and cracked
Describe Pompholyx eczema
Hands and feet, burning itching and blistering typially due to excessive washing with soaps and detergents

Contact dermatitis (Irritant an allergy), Red man syndrome and baboon syndrome

Psychological, staph infections and eczema herpeticum
