What is trawling?
Trawling is when u drop a big net to the seabed and pull it along. This method is used to catch fish near the sea
What is purse seining?
Used to catch fish near the surface. Like a big bucket that they leave for a while until it’s full and then pull it to the surface
What is drift netting?
This method has been banned in Ireland. Nets hand vertically in the water without being anchored to the bottom. The nets are kept vertical by weights
