ECG + CXR Flashcards
1
Q
7 steps of an ECG
A
Rate
2
Q
Conditions with Peaked P wave:
A
Atrial hyper trophy
- COPD
- Pulmonary Embolism
- heart failure
- vascular disease
3
Q
Inverted P wave = ?
A
Reverse conduction
4
Q
Varying P waves =?
A
Damage near SA node.
5
Q
Absent P wave =
No p waves =?
A
A- fib…. = there is another conduction route
None= complete heart block
6
Q
Wide QRS =
Missing QRS = ?
A
MI
- AV block
7
Q
P-R interval:
- normal duration
- causes or difference
A
0.12-0.20 (3-5 blocks)
- long interval = meds or heart block
- short = impulse originates elsewhere than SA node
8
Q
What is the heart terrible triad?
A
1) inverted T wave = myocardial ischemia
2) elevated or depressed ST: myocardial injury if >1mm box
3) Q wave: >1mm = MI
4) PVC= long QRS without a P wave = 6/min or 3 in a row = DR!
9
Q
Hemodynamic consequence of :
- HF
- A fib
- MI
- ventricle arrhythmia
A
HF: peaked P, no P, long P-R
Afib: absent P wave
MI: increase Q wave, wide QRS, invented T, ST elevated or depressed
Vent arrhythmia: 6PVC/min
