EASA Part CAT Flashcards

1
Q

What is the planning minima for a destination aerodrome and what must be done if this isn’t the case? (Not an isolated aerodrome)

A

When:

Weather forecasts/reports are above the landing minima for ETA +/- 1hr as follows:

  • above the published RVR or single pilot RVR (whichever is greater)
  • for a NPA or circling approach the ceiling must be at or above MDH

If this isn’t met then two destination alternates must be selected

Q

When can no destination alternate be selected?

A

If both:

  • planned flight duration is less than 6hrs
  • two separate runways are available at destination and the forecasts indicate ceiling is at least 2000ft or circling minima +500ft (whichever is greater) and 5km vis for ETA +/-1hr
