Q

Chesapeake colonies morales

A

Usually did not live as long as their New England counterparts. They were generally unhealthy. Most were indentured servants, and the men outpopulated the women, which reduced population. They were often abused and many failed to survive long enough to gain their freedom. By the late 17th century, life in the Chesapeake was improving

A

Parliament passed these (1651, 1660, 1663, 1673) Used to control the colonies to subdue to their will and use their profits for the mother country. Exported goods could only go to other American ports or Britain. Imported goods would have to go through Britain first. Americans paid more and received less.
