no, by the time they heard the news, they had already began planning the rebllion october 6th 1569

the Earl of Sussex, he heard rumours about the earls rebellion and keen to prove his loyalty he told the queen and questioned the earls.
what was the Earls response to the Earl of Sussex regarding the rebellion?
they persisted their innocence and allowed to go free.
what was the Queen’s reaction to the Earls being allowed to go free.
she was suspicious and called them to court on 24th October in London - even though this went against the advice given by Sussex.
