Jim Crow laws, name of a show that imitated blacks as dumb and stupid
What was an important segregation case that led to segregation laws being enforced
Plessy vs Ferguson, which was about a black man, plessy, who sat in the white section of a train, and got arrested. The judge and jury were all white supremacists and they said that the law was correct, and that whites and blacks needed to be seperate but equal.
How did the civil war inspire many black Americans?
The north won, making slavery unconstitutional,( the emancipation proclamation) and letting the blacks free. Blacks had high hopes, but things never got much better, as whites still forced superiority and segregation.

The KKK forced violence and fear into many blacks, and killed over 2 thousand.
How did W.E.B. Dubois help the civil rights movement get started?
He founded the NAACP, the national association for the advancement of colored people. By the time MLK was in elementary school, there were tens of thousands of members of this organization all throughout the country.
