Who was the Little Rock Nine?
A
They were nine black students who were the first blacks to attend an all white school, as brown vs board of education declared segregation in schools was illegal.

What did the Arkansas governor do? What was his name?
A
It was Orval Faubus declared he wouldn’t let the students in and sent troops in to barricade the school. He vowed to keep blacks out. A federal judge ordered him to remove the troops, and he did so, but he did nothing to protect them from the vicious white mob outside the school.

What did MLK learn from the Little Rock nine about how the south needed to be fixed?
A
He realized there was a lot more work to do to achieve racial justice in the south.
